A fantastic show of lambs today for our annual Christmas Prime Lamb Show & Sale. A huge credit to the vendors who are all regular exhibitors at our market. The Judge, Richard Lea of Meadow Meats Ltd, chose a pen of 3 tremendous Texel lambs weighing 54.7kg from T Craddock & Son, Clitheroe as his champions which realised 795.2p/kg and £435/head selling to Haighs Farm Shop, Mirfield. The Reserve Champions closely followed, a fantastic trio of Beltex lambs weighing 43kg from L & N Bamforth & Son which realised 628p/kg and £270/head which were also sold to Haighs Farm Shop, Mirfield.
