Sales Report - Tuesday 7th December 2021 - CHRISTMAS PRIME CATTLE SHOW & SALE


Forward 817 Head of Stock comprising of 51 Cattle including 3 Calves, 20 Stores, 23 Prime Cattle, 5 OTM’s and 766 Sheep comprising of 551 Prime Lambs, 87 Ewes, 2 Tups, 126 Store Lambs.

Both our Continental and new Native breed class was well supported with some tremendous animals on show. Thank you to both our vendors and purchasers for supporting the show.

  • The 1st prize continental steer - An 18 month British Blue Steer which was also the 1st prize steer from our Spring Store Cattle Show & Sale, from JP Blackshaw, Bakewell weighing 735 kg realising £2866.50 – 3.90p/kg purchased by Meadow Meats, Barnsley.

Reserve Champion

  • The 1st prize continental heifer – A Homebred 22 month British Blue weighing 675 kg from C & A Howe, Penistone realising £2700.00 – 4.00p/kg purchased by David Gawthorpe Butchers, Denby Dale.
